Oceans Poetry Competition

Harley is the winner of the plastic in our oceans poetry competition. Year 8 student Harley has been chosen as The Elland Academy winner. He really engaged with the work we did on how our oceans’ are being polluted by our over use of plastics.  All of our Key Stage three students reflected on their use of plastics and also what they do in their own households.

Plastic violates our oceans, all we ever see is plastic, plastic and more plastic in the oceans and it is killing our fish, soon we will be swimming in a plastic ocean. We will have no food, it lies at the bottom of our oceans killing turtles, dolphins because they have drowned or died of starvation. And even our angel fish are dying from it. So stop, wait a minute and recycle your plastic. To make our world a better world.
