Mindfulness

We recognise that some of our students have issues outside of school that they find hard to deal with – this is particularly noticeable after weekends or holidays.  As such, we decided to introduce a short mindfulness session on a Monday morning, during tutor time, to help students settle and focus, to prepare for the week ahead.

Students have the opportunity to engage in a range of art-based and sensory activities which staff rotate, according to the bespoke needs of each group.  There are also inclusion team staff based within each tutor group, to support students pastorally, should they need talk to a trusted adult.
